Good luck to the fella, really hope he does well.

He played at the same level as Gerrard and Lampard under the same calibre of manager. Moreover, had 6 years of coaching training and badges in his locker before they stopped playing - and they walked into big jobs.

Dyer’s career ultimately wasn’t anywhere near as illustrious as SG or FL, but there wasn’t much they did in their playing career that KD didn’t. I’d like to think if the last few managerial appointments hadn’t been during such periods of uncertainty that he may had been considered.

He comes across as humble, clearly loves the club, and should really be seen as a valuable asset to utilise when the time is right IMO. A far cry from the Mr Bling character he may have been at Newcastle 20 years ago.

Good luck Kieron. Having coached at all levels he deserves the chance to see what he can do with a no 1 job.

I wish him all the best gif that. It’ll be a start on his managerial pathway, which is what he needed to have started a couple of years ago. All the best KD 👍
