One of the guys who works for me is Romanian, and he's trying to find a local football team for his Son.
The son has been over here probably a decade or so, so I presume he speaks fluent English, but the Dad struggles with reading etc and is more conversational so is struggling to find something.
I'm sure the school could help, but he has asked me so thought I'd at least try to help.
They live in Greenwich, the kid is in year 8 and just turned 13, and as mentioned presume he is fluent etc if that matters. ideally needs to be somewhere the kid can get himself to (Gainsborough SC?, Landseer park?) if the Dad is unavailable to help as the Mum doesn't drive. Have absolutely no idea on ability levels.
Any ideas, suggestions, gratefully received - my kids are a lot younger so no idea on who the teams around there are now as used to be the Golden Hind there back in my day |  |
