You inspired me to check my first game and found that I missed my own 40th anniversary not that long ago too...So you and I and the Pioneer stand and Robson going to England can collectively take the blame .... for this website being called TWTD.

The match was 4th September '82 1-1 draw against Coventry,Grandad took me and we sat in the Portman terrace,just below the exec boxes ? .....with that game being my first,2nd... home loss against Stoke and having a huge confusing argument with dad on the way out of the ground with me thinking we still picked up 2 points regardless of the loss for the 2 goals we got in our 2-3 defeat and then 3rd going out on away goals of the UEFA cup against Roma but standing in the corner of the churchmans (I felt so grown up) just about says it all in my experiences with the town to come. Does anyone remember a game from late 70,s or early 80,s in which there was overcrowding or something in the Churchmans I think and loads of us kids were taken outta the stadium and sat on the edge of the pitch?
