They used to be those very light balls which would either swirl in all directions or blow back on to the pitch didn't they? I can't recall if they were specifically the last game of a season but I remember all the same. It may have been to do with it being a specific sponsor of the match or the match ball as to when or why it was done. |  |

Yep, the Club 5 balls, which were usually sold for 99pnin the local newsagent.
Wasn’t necessarily the last game of the season, but towards the end.
Also Happy Shopper used to sponsor the odd match and the players used to chuck packets of crisps into the crowd. |  |
