He can be frustrating at times but he's really proven his worth to this side. What a fantastic player to bring on at this level. Hirst has been great. Weirdly working out well for Freddie as well. Always liked FL... Appreciate his efforts and willingness to improve his own game, which I think he has under KM.. I think Hirst has looked really sharp though. And, although he might be disappointed to have not scored today, in a 6-0. There's no doubt, his contribution was massive. And, as you rightly say. Hirst' efforts would have taken the wind out of oppo defenders...
I do love our first choice starting eleven, atm. But, it wouldn't surprise me if FL started against Vale on Tuesday, given he's finding the net, and Hirst has put in some right old shifts recently
..Perhaps Freddy can return the favor, if he starts. Put in a real shift and let Hirst come on fresh for last half hour and Nick a goal or two...
