Anyone seen this prison-escape news story? 19:43 - Apr 23 with 1291 viewsThe_Flashing_Smile

Sounds like a movie plot, and probably will be one day. Astonishing.

Guy sets fire to his sell, leaves a body in there (which the warders think is him) and then somehow gives them the slip in all the mayhem, and escapes the prison dressed as a warder himself. Then goes on the run for a year, living with his celebrity doctor girlfriend.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Fletch: You wanna know how they disposed of the soil?
Mackay: Simple as that.
Fletch: I'll tell ya.
Mackay: I thought you might.
Fletch: [pouring himself some whisky and leaning in close] They dug another tunnel and put the earth down there.

The body, when found had died as a result of blunt-force trauma to the head.

"Bester managed to escape from prison dressed as a warder"

Certainly looks like involvement by the wardens.

It was not just 'a body' either. The man was Katlego Bereng Mpholo, age 30, who supposedly had collapsed in the city of Bloemfontein and then died in hospital, before he was taken to the mortuary.

A truly horrific event, if what appears to have happened, did happen.

Not something that needs to be sensationalised by a film.

Well I didn't feel the need to write every detail when I provided the link.

Also, many, many horrific events have been made into films. Many of them without sensationalising.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

When I read the headline I thought it would be about the story I heard a week or so ago from this side of the pond. Unfortunately I don't know how to add a link but it's about 2 inmates who escaped from a Virginia jail using 'primitive' tools, like a toothbrush to weaken the bars and escape. They were recaptured the next morning having breakfast in the local diner, and truly an amazing escape in this day and age!

Given that the link provided those, I should imagine that was obvious, and because something has been done before, that is not an argument for making money out of this tragedy/family suffering.
