30 goal season for Chaplin? 15:22 - May 5 with 1000 viewsgringoblue

Chappers is having one of our greatest goalscoring seasons. One more against Fleetwood and he'll have 30 in all competitions.

I don't think anyone has achieved that since Warky in 80/81.

Which other players have had 30 goal seasons since we turned professional? Crawford and Phillips?

What happens if we get a penalty and he has yet to score....it's nil nil and Plymouth are losing.

Off the top of my head John Wark in 80/81, and David Johnson II banged in 30+ the season we bought him, although the first few were for Bury.

Johnno of course, finished that season as both ours AND Bury's top scorer.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

A magnificent season and fingers crossed for 30 goals. His passing has also improved this year under McKenna.

He really deserves the plaudits this season.

Didn't know that. First year I had a season ticket - was a bit of an upgrade on some of the others we'd had playing up top in the years / months before. Gerry Creaney a particularly poor loan from memory.

22 for Town and 8 for Bury.
