Four children found alive in the Amazon jungle 40 days after a plane crash that killed their mother and both pilots. Aged 13, 9, 4 and 1!

Genuinely not being cynical but Netflix or Amazon will already be planning the film.
Absolutely amazing story that needs to be told.

I was going to say in my OP that this should be a film, but I got pelters last time I suggested something be made into a film, so didn't bother. It is an incredible story how they survived (but also has the trauma of losing their mum of course).

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

If not a film then worthy of a documentary. About 20 years ago I saw a Werner Herzog documentary called Wings of Hope which was the incredibly miraculous & moving story about a young girl who was the only survivor of a plane crash in the Andes/Amazon.

I reckon the fact that they were from an indigenous tribe gave them a good start on surviving in the jungle. They must be quite an affluent tribe to afford plane travel, unless it was a mercy flight. Must have been traumatic your Mum dying ,and having to survive on your own none the less.

Genuinely being mega cynical and asking if this is a Channel 5 teaser announcing that they have recently recorded a reality TV show based on Jungle survival.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Herzog is a great auteur, must seek that one out. in the meantime there is another documentary on the BBC's Storyville strand about Andean plane crash survivors:
