Audio Commentary 12:03 - Jul 27 with 873 viewsSaxon52

I am a lifelong Tractor Boy now living in Birmingham area. The new media deal with Radio Suffolk seems to disenfranchise people outside the suffolk area from Audio Commentary. I had ifollow last year and enjoyed listenning to the matches I coudnt get to. I can listen and work. The new deal seems not to be online audio, only live TV with the app. Am I wrong or have I got to listen to TV commentary now?

I think the question, is more.

Is the audio commentary a dedicated audio only commentary.

Or

Is it just the audio from the video stream.

Shall be rather miffed if it's the latter.

It'll be the latter. Town own the online broadcasting rights, so the BBCRS deal will be for commentary over the radio only.

It wouldn't make sense for Town TV to offer separate video + audio comms, or lose their ad space to the RS commentary. Hopefully they organise a bit of radio comms training to try to improve the product for audio-only fans.

That's my worry, as if it is, it's a downgrade on I-follow last year.

Audio only commentary is totally different to video commentary.

It's the same as iFollow last year - they introduced ITFC commentary team last season.

I agree the video commentary isn't suitable for audio-only. Tbh I preferred the days of Brenner over the video, too.

It’s the audio from the TV commentary, as it was last season.
