Something that stood out from Chaplin interview 11:35 - Jul 16 with 1680 views | Nutkins_Return | Listening to it and the content and thoughts on preseason and season ahead you could be listening to McKenna. Genuinely think that is testament to McKenna rather than any media training. I think the messaging and planning coming out from McKenna and his staff to his players is so clear and consistent. Everyone is pointing in the same direction and doing so with clarity of roles, aims, culture etc. Probably have to go back to Burley for this last time everything was so joined up. As a whole club unit though I think we're going beyond that in terms of culture. Doesn't guarantee results but it's great to see.

Something that stood out from Chaplin interview on 12:02 - Jul 16 with 1511 views | Rozz | Agreed. You can say the same of Morsy too, they're all reading from the same hymn sheet. Loved this, especially as it appears unprompted: “We're all feeling good and long may that continue. Even more, personally, I want to that to grow, I think there’s more to be done in the community and the connection with the fans. This is probably the start of the journey we're on in terms of that. Really looking forward to furthering that.” His off-field contributions speak enormously to his character IMO. After turning in 20+ goals it would be easy to think his work is done, but he treats the fan and community engagements with the same conviction. You can't help but to bloody love him.
Absolutely - the players talk about games, how they play, system and set-up on 12:09 - Jul 16 with 1470 views | unstableblue | in a similar way to McKenna, using the same terms and seem to reading and describing games in quite an insightful way They’re using technical terms. Long may it continue [Post edited 16 Jul 2023 12:17]

The way he was encouraging everyone back to the half way line after Freddie’s equaliser yesterday speaks volumes, desperate to win even in an early pre-season friendly.
