Language, Timothy? 19:51 - Jul 24 with 1178 views | NthQldITFC | Can any of you good folk help me out with remembering an expression for which I've been hunting through my poor little brain? It's an old-fashioned, only very slightly veiled, sneering and bitchy reference to somebody else's morals or behaviour. I associate it with Northern ladies of a certain age and/or Les Dawson's Mavis? character - apologies if required. Anyway, it's something like: "she's not as xxxxx as she could be" or "she doesn't xxxxx what she ought." It's driving me potty trying to remember the precise language of it. Any helpers?

Actually, there are all sorts of fantastic expressions like that which sadly appear to be disappearing from use. It's only those of us of a certain age who remember them. There's nothing wrong with being judgemental Just so long as you make the correct judgement every time... Actually it's impossible to go through life without being judgemental about anything and everything, you would be completely static if you didn't
