Possibly regarding New signings 09:43 - Aug 13 with 1303 viewscressi

Maybe just maybe this club don't make promises regarding playing time you come you have to earn the shirt, most people thought Taylor 1.5 million plus would play the club have shown by playing Llungo if your playing well you keep the shirt Llungo was immense yesterday. Players have to come with the desire to win the shirt.
Unless u come as a squad player.

Even squad players have to play to win the shirt. Look at Hladky for example, if he keeps going the way he is then KMK is going to have to have a good think when Walton comes back to fitness.

Luongo is a top Championship player, with great experience and attributes. He’s just had a woeful time with injuries in recent times.

A £1.5m player from Peterborough was unlikely to immediately replace him. Especially as Luongo has carried on the form from last season, and is perhaps is playing some of the best football of his career.

As well as that, and as McKenna has stated, Taylor is getting up to speed on the system and ‘Ipswich Way’ (McKenna ball basically). That’s coming through training and cup games. And be got 4mins yesterday to feel the atmosphere without the pressure.

There will be certain games coming up where McKenna may want to tweak the system and need Taylor’s attributes from the start… so he’ll get his chance. Plus Luongo will need some rest - as he stated himself he’s not expecting to play all season.

I do hope Taylor’s introduction is not due to Luongo injury. But Taylor is also here to provide a good quality ready to play alternative.

Not to forget Morsy and his yellow card bans that are going to happen - Taylor will be key then, especially with refs like yesterday!

I saw the game had a ref in the first half, but in the 2nd all I saw was a 12th Stoke player wearing black.

Indeed.

It will be interesting to see who out of Taylor, Evans and Ball steps in when Morsy/Luongo get the inevitable ban. I expect the former.
