The fact that we outsource court case transcription to the private sector in the first place is bad enough, but to then allow the bastards to charge and manipulate vulnerable victims like this is obscene and disgusting and as a society we need to take a long hard look at ourselves and our values. |  |

In the final episode last night of the excellent series Union (David Olusoga with another splendid piece of work), it was pointed out that in the 50s and 60s the UK was the most equal country in the world.
