But for 9 crazy minutes... 09:02 - Oct 26 with 1217 views | norfsufblue | It's possible we could have been unbeaten this season...... I'm definitely going to wake up soon and be facing a long trip to Sunderland aren't I!
But for 9 crazy minutes... on 09:14 - Oct 26 with 1158 views | _clive_baker_ | But for 2 shots that have hit the post and rolled across the goal line not going in against QPR and Bristol City we could be 4 points worse off too. We rode our luck a little on the opening day as well, its very fine lines innit. I thought Leeds were marginally the better team on the day and deserved the win, but that was no disgrace seeing as they had £80m of talent in their forward areas. I thought we were good for the win last night though, for the majority of the game we were pretty dominant in terms of chance creation, but a little backs to the walls in the last 1/4 which is inevitable away from home when defending a lead.

True but assuming we'd still draw those games we'd still be unbeaten, there are amazing stats facts takeaways everywhere you look in this incredible start.... and in just about every game we have had better chances to score more against our opposition... I guess that's those xG stats I still don't fully understand 🤣
But for 9 crazy minutes... on 09:46 - Oct 26 with 1039 views | SE1blue | I reckon the good results that have come in the fixtures after that match have had a lot to do with what McKenna and his team taught the players by using those 9 minutes as a learning opportunity. I think it was disappointing the way we lost that one but I reckon it was good for the players in some ways having been on a crazy run of winning etc (especially when you include League One last year)

Ahh right, yes unbeaten perhaps. Leeds is the only game where you would have to say we've met a better side on the day. I'm not too fussed about being unbeaten, I would rather win 1 and lose 1 than draw 2, it's all about accumulating points innit. I reckon if you normalised the points based on stats we perhaps wouldn't quite have 31, but it would still be enough to have us 2nd. But that's football, you don't have the calendar year we're having through luck or the rub of the green, we're earning our results by being so well organised and disciplined. On to another big one Saturday, and hopefully another 3 points. Would be nice to beat Plymouth after not managing to last season. They're a dangerous side though.

It feels like we’ve had the rub of the green in one or two games. You can certainly argue that if you take incidents in isolation. But overall, 12 games, 2nd place, 9 points clear of 3rd with a game in hand? The big picture says we are where we deserve to be. We’ve not played Leicester or in form Middlesbrough yet, but we’ve played a good mix of the rest. Leeds of course beat us and in my view deservedly so, but we were competitive. McKenna has rotated players and we have had the odd injury so I think it is fair to say we are beyond newly promoted momentum. We have a real team and a decent one at that. None of us know what the next 6 months holds, but the last 8 months have been one heck of a ride. After years of nothing we deserve it too.

Agree, the quality Leeds had was very obvious, Luis Sinisterra controlled mid field very well and went to Bournemouth straight after that match, the players have learned a lot from that game as they had never come up against a team like that previously.
