The Saint & Greavsie Show 12:37 - Nov 10 with 1463 views | Illinoisblue | Grew up with this on Saturday lunchtimes, always a bit more lighthearted than BBC’s Football Focus. This clip is magnificent:

The best one I recall was when they went fishing with Gazza, eating Mars bars in the boat, can't find it on YouTube but can you imagine Carra and Neville doing that? also love the spitting image of them...

Many years ago, JG was the guest speaker at the end-of-season dinner at my local football club. He was very funny. I particularly recall his damning assessment of Emile Heskey. "F-ckin Emile Heskey. Worst player ever to play for England. Runs like he's stuck in treacle and second touch always a sliding tackle!"
The Saint & Greavsie Show on 16:46 - Nov 10 with 1085 views | DJR | The Saint was also excellent and a great foil to Greavsie, rather like Ernie was to Eric. They used to record it at the LWT studios on the South Bank, near Waterloo East Station, and I once saw The Saint on a train on the way to the station. We exchanged a knowing look when I realised who he was, and as always he had a bit of a twinkle in his eye. [Post edited 10 Nov 2023 20:27]

The Saint & Greavsie Show on 18:41 - Nov 10 with 1005 views | backwaywhen | It’s a funny old game Saint ….. probably the most popular saying sayings in the football supporters vocabulary over those years they were on . | | | | Login to get fewer ads
The Saint & Greavsie Show on 20:56 - Nov 10 with 839 views | Steve_M | Back when football took itself far less seriously, I guess they got away with a lot because both had been such great players and there was no malice. I remember loads of stuff on Cowdenbeath, interviewing Americans about the upcoming ‘94 World Cupnand highlighting how negative John Beck’s Cambridge were amongst many others.
