Mentality 11:22 - Feb 24 with 1326 viewscressi

I said a while back we have it you either do or you don't. Last season we clawed back ten points to get promoted. Leeds, Leicester and Southampton showed a lack of mentality last season and came down will that pressure work in our favour least defeats in the championship a win today the pressure is on the so called favorites.

I think we’ve got that in spades, if we miss out on the top 2 it probably won’t be for a lack of effort, application, tactical awareness or desire. It’s only a part of it though, I think if every team had the same pieces I would back McKenna and his team to navigate our way to a hugely successful season. Unfortunately they don’t, and although ours are very good, perhaps we’re not quite at the level of those 2 above us.

Time will tell though, we can only control our bit. Let’s go and beat Birmingham and keep this pressure on. Either way it’s fun though isn’t it. Rewind a few years and we would’ve snapped our arm off for this. It’s never about the destination but more about the journey for me. Bloody good time to be supporting Ipswich after years of dross. And the sun is shining, and I’m going for pints pre match. Drink it in….literally.

I often think we are one of the toughest sides in the league, then things like Rotherham happen.

The only Muff in Town.

Last week of February and we’ve only lost 4 games. I’d suggest we’re very tough.

Rotherham, when we kept going to the very end, overcoming the setbacks to grasp a win.

Contrast with Leicester yesterday, who went from conceding an equaliser to 3-1 down in a matter of minutes and couldn't get it back.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

The only Muff in Town.

Don't have to rewind back a few years. I'd say up to the end of November we would have snapped our arm off to be in this position at the end of February. Whatever happens, at the start of March we'll be a maximum of three points off second. It's only because of the run over Christmas and New Year that some feel we "threw the chance away" rather than being able to accept we're still doing astoundingly well, to put it mildly.
