automation in word... 11:19 - Jun 18 with 544 views | redrickstuhaart | 15 years ago id have figured this out in my sleep.... I dont need detail, just a steer on the right approach. Probably obvious to someone who knows.... I have a standard form document with lots of alternative sentences in each paragraph.. At present, to create the variant i need each time, i must delete the bits i dont want to leave the bits i do. This must be automatable with either drop down boxes, or by filling some form that generates the right versions based on tickbox answers. What is the sensiblevapproach??!

I just plugged your question into it and it came back with 3 possible methods in seconds. I have no idea if any of it makes and sense, but it might do to you.

I am a software developer and I have recently started using Copilot - which is based on the ChatGPT LLM. It's amazing some of the stuff it can do. I got it to write a liquid map for me yesterday (which anyone who works with these will know are horrible to write!). By hand it would take me a few hours to write one, test it, correct the mistakes etc. Copilot wrote it in seconds once I'd told it what I wanted. I then had it generate test cases for the code as well. Saved me about 3 hours work if I had written by hand. Really powerful tool for developers. I guess I'll be out of a job in a few years time :(
