If we've decided to do that and treat any further pursuit of Philogene as a separate (if more expensive) issue, I think that's the right thing. Greaves is, to my mind, more important to us.

That's some come down from a reported £22m as part of the Philo deal? Maybe we have guaranteed Hull that our bid for Philogene will remain whatever so they've allowed this.

Feels like Hull / Villa arguing the toss of what proportion of the fee for the double deal was for Jaden Philogene to decrease / increase the amount due from the 30% sell-on fee; at least this way any bid for Jaden will be transparent which could help speed things up.

Hull are probably less bothered about a joint deal in this case - Villa have matched our bid for Philogene so, even if we did drop out, Hull still get their sale.
