I genuinely don't get this European cricket league thing. I thought it was a spoof when i first came across it.

I mean the standard is worse than village green cricket. I mean honestly, in football terms it's not even non-league, it's literally sunday league pub team Division 10, yet there are actually countries competing in this. Ok, sure they are countries without cricket history/pedigree, but playing on astro, in assorted tracksuit garments, trainers etc its a bit farcial. Calling it amateur is disrespectful to the majoirty of amateur cricketers. I've seen U12 sides that would beat these teams.
