Bloody hell how good does Portman Road look.
It’s looked great since Gamechanger gave it some TLC but with the black everywhere, the electronic boards etc it just looked so beautiful.
Really exciting to see what other improvements they have planned but it really stood out just how nice the ground looked even considering the areas that aren’t yet complete. |  | | |  |

It's good that the PL forces owners to invest some of their windfall into improving their stadium.
GC are good custodians anyway, but not all clubs would invest in infrastructure unless forced to. |  |

It's even the little things they have done, the new signage for each stairway to the West Stand replacing the ones that had been there for about 30 years, the deep cleaning of the ground in the seating areas, the tidying up of the steps in each seating area, the replacement of the advertising hordings on the West Stand with the new black background ones does wonders for the age of it.
Even having the scoreboard on the North Stand use the advertising boards rather than having a separate unit like it did before so everything sits nice and flush. Even the idea of having the big screen extension to show the score at all times and time when they show something else on the big screen itself is a good idea.
It really is a ground transformed in many ways. Clear to see a lot of work to be done still, but they really have put some TLC in. | |

I thought the ground looked very smart. They’d even replaced the seats in lower West Stand - thank goodness as I did wonder how long it’d be before my over large rear end went through the rusty predecessor!
I didn’t study it properly but the work done in so short a period is phenomenal. I’ll be interested to hear and see how close they got to achieving their aims. Clearly the box on the wendy house in the corner is to go in and the exec boxes in West Stand done, though I notice even the basics for those are in place now.
So much to do though. Thinking of replacement of the East Stand, the land behind Churchmans and the potential of the space behind the West Stand, I really hope our owners stay with it for the long term. |  | | |
