Off to Barrow v Morecambe tomorrow. 17:38 - Oct 11 with 1563 viewsITFC_Forever

Will be 85/92…. Will leave me Brentford, Carlisle, Morecambe (feckers moved ground since 2001), Newport, Salford, Chesterfield and Bromley.

And for one of our number, 92/92.

Forecast is for gusts up to 40mph plus. Bracing.

I’m off to Salford tomorrow to tick that one off.

I have regretted not ticking off that ground for the cup replay despite the appalling pre McKenna performance.

Brentford and Tottenham will take me to 82.

I’m only on mid 30’s (I think, not checked for a while) but curiously have been to 3 of those you’re missing, the first 3 you mention. Is it like football stickers where I can swap them for some you’ve been to more than once?

Might be a bit of needle. Don't think their fans (both of them) like each other. Stay safe.

The Barrow forum suggested it was a friendly rivalry, Morecambe (or their fans) even hired a plane to tow a banner reading “Welcome Back” when Barrow got promoted back to the League.

But in the ground yesterday, both sets of supporters were giving it some across the no-man’s-land segregation area, and outside the ground the Barrow yoof (and some who should know better) were clearly waiting for the away fans to leave the ground.

We walked up the road slightly ahead of both sets of fans, and a row of police were keeping them at arm’s length as they were chucking stuff at each other.

A lot of it was the usual posturing from a safe distance behind police lines, but there was definitely an edge to it.
