Silly goals 21:35 - Oct 19 with 740 views | seblue78 | We were poor today and uncharacteristically flat. And it might well be the catalyst for some changes. But by god we’ve got to stop giving away silly goals. Different game had that first goal not been gifted to them. We seem to averaging at least one or two bad mistakes a game which is inexcusable at this level, and above and beyond any formation or personnel changes we need to address that. This league is hard enough without gifting teams goals.

Agree. Every goal pretty much involves a mistake somewhere in the process. And every team will make a number of mistakes per game. However, we are simply not capitalising on the mistakes that the opposition are making. We need to be brutal. Sometimes, teams that have a great team spirit and togetherness lack a lethal streak. It's always fine margins, but players like Delap show that brutal/lethal streak we need to balance this properly and also build confidence in some of the newer players. Tough ask, and Prem teams give no quarter. It'll be bloody hard, but I think we have capable players.
