Seen a few posts about him not really doing much to help us.. out if interest has this been a long standing thing seen or more recent seasons.

Reason I'm asking. He was the official at that reading watford ghost goal who was then demoted from the prem. So wondered if he holds a grudge against Ashton as he no doubt would have had words about it at the time.

When I saw who was var official a few days back I knew that we were going to be f———-d as he will always make decisions to our disadvantage, even when he is the referee in the game.

the one thing these refs have in abundance is not being remotely embarrased about such things, they have that attitude of headteachers about them that theyre always right, even when theyre wrong, and are just dealing with a bunch of naughty school kids.

Ive never heard any ref ever admit to making a mistake, or acknowledging they got something wrong, even years after theyve retired, it seems almost part of the job criteria that gets drilled into them.
