Anyway, Philogene has been a bit of a passenger, badly caught in possession for the first Chelsea goal, and not really offered anything with the ball.

Just got booked for diving too.
However to judge him on one game away at an on-form Chelsea would be unfair - especially as he's had very little football so far this season and is still trying to find his feet in the Premier League.
Based on his stellar performances last season and how we know how McKenna develops players, I'm still disappointed we missed out on him.
Realistically, would he have been any worse than Jack Clarke so far? I don't think so. | |

It doesn't show them there - I looked them both up on Transfrmarkt which gives you their pitch time.
And I would like to point out I haven't written off Jack Clarke. He has a lot of potential and I'm hoping he will turn out to be a good player for us given time and experience. All I said (responding to the OP) was I don't think Philogene would have done any worse at this point had he signed for us instead. I don't think it's unfair to be disappointed with JCs contributions so far, given that he cost £15m. | |
