Sore losers? 09:24 - Dec 31 with 1012 viewsPortwoman

Is it just me, or did anyone else think Chelsea were sore losers last night? Fancy being beaten 2-0 by "little old Ipswich". Ha!

Definitely an element of that - once the realisation dawned on them they might lose to us, they lost their heads.

If they had won they would have been 2nd and in a real title battle.

We were 2nd bottom and written off by most the 'experts'.

Not only were they beat, they only had a couple of decent efforts and were 2nd best on the night by some distance.

It was a very bad night for them. Don't care!

Properly rattled weren't they. Played right into our hands though, it was obvious how quick they were to get the ball back into play at every breakdown - goal kick, throw, free kick. Relentless at times and it was when they were at their most dangerous against us when we were inevitably going to flag in the last 20. For them to let that final period become so stop start was poor game management from them. They looked like we did in L1 under Lambert at times.

That was bizarre. Looked the most hot headed and ill disciplined side we've faced. They almost saw out the game for us.

No team seems to be able to cope well with losing to us! Love to see it.

Yeah it was nuts. Happily let them turn it into a street fight if they want, they were unlikely to ever win it that way. Their superiority was keeping the ball in play and getting it to the players who can hurt us, as they showed a few times. Making it a scrappy, stop start, catch our breath non event for the last 15 minutes was incredibly naïve.

That's 2 teams: Chelsea and Wolves that have lost their heads to us. Are there any other teams who've rattled as much as us ? Long may it continue but it's really annoying that we still pick up post-match cards for very little compared to the head-losers.
