The Evening Star would have had some fun with this Philogene saga. Big “Where’s Jaden?” headline and then photoshop him into various pictures. Oh, there he is at Christchurch park. Ooh, there he is at Tower Ramparts. Look, there he is riding an Ipswich bus.

Does the Evening Star still exist in printed form? It seems a long time since I used to deliver them. It was at least as popular as the nationals back in the 80s, possibly more so.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Yep. Ipswich Star now. Bought a copy when over and it was over a pound. Maybe 1 pound and 20p. Something like that. Can’t imagine how low its print circulation is compared to its heyday. Assume it’s close to the point where printing both EADT and the Star won’t be viable.

I went back to Ipswich over Xmas and my parents had a copy of it. In fact my mum had kept the match reports for all of Ipswich’s games this season for me to read. Just like how she used to when I was at uni.

There's a copy in every goody-bag (sold by EADT staff outside the Cobbold), along with a copy of the EADT itself, a bottle of water, a chocolate bar, a bag of crisps and a bag of popcorn.

Gret value for £4.

Had the regular pre game email from the club tonight which states following review "no bags bigger than A4 will be allowed inside the stadium".

I was there when McKenna's ITFC won in the Premier League at Home. Our only home win in a year.

Is that £4 now?!

Was £1 not all that long ago, albeit possibly with a bit less in it.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Hopefully it’s also available in the morning now, otherwise I’ll be pretty disappointed with the unnecessary name change!
