I suspect there will be some kind of clause in the contract that he would be available at a reasonable price if they get relegated. I can't see he'd be happy to be priced out of any move away if they end up dumped into the Championship.

Or they’re 100% certain that they either won’t be punished at all or that it will be an extremely light one. Can’t believe either Haaland or City would commit to something like this if they had any doubt that they’ll essentially be given one more than a slap on the wrists
