Thought that a key moment last night was when Delap picked up a yellow for a petulant foul on Veltman. Against Chelsea, he bullied their defenders and they lost their head. Last night, Veltman played a perfect game of niggly fouls and general sh1thousery and won his duels. How he didn’t get a yellow until late in the 2nd half I don’t know, but if that happens to Delap, he just needs to be savvy. I’m sure that will come with experience. |  | | |  |

He has to play on the edge to be at his best imho and it’s inevitable he’ll pick up yellows but I want to see him get cards for being aggressive not stupid things like rolling a second ball onto the pitch against Chelsea or post match arguments with opposing players.
As you say he’s young and he’s been brilliant for us, so I don’t like to moan too much, but we miss him dreadfully when he’s unavailable. | |
