Proper McKenna goal. Overlapping LB, Delap runs into the "Chaplin position" at the edge of the box, opposing defender assumes it's going across the front of the goal and leaves Townsend with that lovely little cut back for Delap to smash in. Beautiful stuff and we've not seen it work often enough this season.

Delap was immense for that goal. The power and pace to get on the end of it, the intelligence to wait for the overlap, the movement to find the space in the box and then the hard finish giving the keeper no chance.

He is a serious serious football player. Lots on here have been growing frustrated with him and some even diminishing how good this guy is. He is going to be a world class football player and we are so lucky to have him.
