Dad was first taken to Portman Road by his uncles in the 1930's. The amateur days.

He continued to follow Town after he had been evacuated to Worcestershire during the war.  He married a local girl and took his sons to away games in the midlands afterwards.

He was there when we beat Villa to win in '62.
I was with him at Wembley in '78 and against AZ in '81.
A long term season ticket holder until he could not get there any more.

He would have been 100 on Saturday when we play Newcastle.

I would like to ask Blues going to the match.
If at some point you find yourselves with a glass of refreshment, to raise it to Fred, a Blue, for his birthday.
He would have loved to have been there.
Cheers.

Lovely words. I’ll happily raise a glass to Fred

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
