He was so far off the pace when he came on that I suspect he wasn't really ready to return. Given the importance of the match at that point then probably a good piece of man-management by McK.

Surely with the medical facilities we had you wouldn't make that mistake again!

Must be more of a 'rest up and get ready for pre-season' as opposed to another injry.

I think it's more likely to be latter.

He (and the club) know how important next season is. His last chance of getting back to the Prem before being 'over the hill'. He won't want to cut any corners in pre-season.

I don't think Szmodics has been too impressed with Town playing him in a Cup game at Coventry when he wasn't ready. Hope he doesn't now become another permanent sick note. He'll be 30 in September and it must be a worry that we have doubts about him, Burns, Philogene & Ogbene for next season.
