On the first point, it’s legal. Both players go at the same time with them same intention. There’s no issue with the clear out. It just looks worse than it is.
What the post on Twitter is eluding to is that the Aussie player joins the ruck from the side, so should have been a Lions penalty anyway, before he is cleared out of the way. [Post edited 27 Jul 16:21]
