Many on here have said only to judge the transfer window once it closes. So I’m going to sit tight and watch.
Be very surprised if we manage to recruit the 3/4 we need in the next 11/12 days.
We need players fit and ready to go, not ones taking 3/4 weeks to get fit, especially if being signed this late into August.

Its a poor window because our targets are unrealistic. As i said a few weeks ago, while aiming high is laudable, is it really realistic that we will compete with PL clubs for the cream of the cream? While we Ness about chasing list causes we actually miss out on very good players thst can get us out if thus division. Some will say we need players for the PL, we'll its not happening is it. Thus do far is a very poor window. We lost very good players and not replaced them all. Still we're told not to panic, stop being a bed wetter etc etc.... well, the clock IS ticking, and we are struggling to get so many targets iver the line this window. Im almost past caring now. Alternatively, we lost our most injury prone defender, who true to form managed 23 mins of his first pre season friendly at Burnley and not been seen since plus we have received nearly £80m in transfer fees for 3 players, one of which was a squad player.
We have signed the top scorer and championship player of the year from 2022-23, signed a midfield replacement for Morsy for £8M, got Cajuste back for another season who was one of the better players in a tough season last year and just as important as new signings we have retained players like Davis and O’Shea etc.
There are still a further 11 days to finish our transfer business, so judging it now is a little rash.
Considering how often relegated teams get torn apart, I think it’s been a pretty positive transfer window but you would need to look at the bigger picture than just a very basic view of new signings only.
I think if you were able to look and think more strategically about how a squad is grown and developed it could help you unlock more of your potential than just being a skinny lad who makes tea. |  | | |
