Well no, I'm not really. We've had some results and we are in the mix but as far as performances go, I think it's been hum drum all season. Yes, the 5-0 against rock bottom Blades. Yes the Derby victory. The 4-1s at QPR and Swansea flattered us in reality, 18 games in and we're actually pretty dull. Can anyone really say we play exciting football? Can anyone seriously counteract the oft heard criticism that we're ponderous and slow in our play?
McKenna frequently bemoans our profligacy in front of goal saying we're not 'clinical' enough but that's what he has recruited.

People say Mick Mills is a dinosaur but tonight on Suffolk he again lamented rotation. Where's the motivation for players when they know they'll be back in (or back out) almost irrespective of performance as our manager plays the hokey-cokey with 50%+ of his outfield players every game?
I'm not normally one for getting down on the team or the manager but I feel we're miles off where we should be. We're in touch with. 2nd only because Coventry aside, the rest are equally as poor as we are. We've spaffed so much cash and our loans are also pretty mediocre too. I can see us actually finishing outside the play offs unless things change and we inject some tempo into our play.
