In fairness, Keane brought Hourihane to PR, but then didn't play him at all, although Keane was sacked in January. Hourihane was released at the end of the season & went to Plymouth.

And Jewell spent most of the season trying to stop us from getting relegated and making plans to sign a load old lags and crooks, so untried youngsters were unlikely to get a game.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I doubt he was ready for the championship as his progression up the ranks until he finally joined Villa was slow and steady. After leaving us,
3 years League 2,
2 years League 1,
3 years championship:-

I remember reading his attitude wasn't all it could have been as a youngster and his leaving was a mutual thing?

fair do's to the guy then, because in the end he had a decent playing career and now seems to be giving management a decent crack. I guess it's called 'growing up'!
