Another item in the "mainstream media" this morning says that more than half of respondents to a Reuters survey 'get their news from third-party platforms like social media and video networks'. 'In the US, trust in news stands at 25%, and is even lower (15%) among politically right-leaning Americans.' 'The findings are based on an online survey of almost 100,000 people in 48 markets.' Is there any realistic way back? We kind of don't really seem to have a collective survival instinct when our worldwide culture permits and celebrates 'elite' individuals piling up ridiculous amounts of limited resources by corrupting information for the body as a whole. Trump, Musk and all the little Trumps and Musks (who some of us aspire to be like) are like really aggressive primary cancers in a weakened body, and the attack on truth is disabling the immune system. | |
