| Interesting article on Brandon Williams and his struggles 08:52 - Aug 9 with 2390 views | DanTheMan | https://www.nytimes.com/athlet Briefly talks about his time at Ipswich and McKenna sending him back to Manchester to try and sort his head out. A shame it didn't work out for him at that time. | |

| Interesting article on Brandon Williams and his struggles on 09:06 - Aug 9 with 2247 views | TIB | A good read, does feel like the lad is on last chance saloon…although he’s at an age where maybe this is now dawning on him. I’ve also heard that his balloon use caused lasting damage which has affected his fitness. | |

The balloons were before he played for us and his fitness looked fine then. He's clearly been a bit of a nob, his story is pretty sad though and it would be good to see him back playing consistently at a decent level.

When our chapter was being written i kept saying that ipswich was the best place for him. Shame he went back up north. KM would have saved him. Good luck for the future BW.

My understanding of the article was that McKenna shipped him out to sort himself out. After that, he never played for us again. Well done KM. As for heartbreaking, it would have been really heartbreaking had he killed somebody with his car as could have done quite easily. Given it’s a sympathetic article, I still get an impression that he takes little responsibility for his own actions. He knew what he was doing and carried on. If I was looking for a player, like the Chopras of this world, I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole. Regardless, I hope he’s able to turn his life around, whatever the future holds for him.

Yes that is fair too. Perhaps he may never learn and he is making a play to try and revive his career. Sometimes it takes a long time to become a bus driver and you cross many paths to get there?

What a player he could be, when we had him he looked amazing for those few games before he went off the rails.

Standards really did drop.

Well, I stand by my opinion and as you once said: ‘Everyone is allowed to express themselves on here that how it works on a forum.’
