we managed to keep it 0-2 and not ship another 4 or 5. I do think we’re a stronger better team than last time around.
Palacios looks like he could be huge for us.
Clarke looked good, Fatawu played well but is better than he realises. Enciso - as always - showed flashes of brilliance. Thought Lukic played well too.
I hope Fleming has a bit more composure normally than what he showed tonight, which I suspect was down to first game excitement. |  |

Liverpool are a very good team with a few world class players - I think, apart from two silly mistakes we played ok.
There’s definitely room for improvement and against not so good teams we will create more and pick up points. |  | | |

I’m pleased that we didn’t get to tonked
But realistically I think Liverpool played well within themselves in the second half.
But our test is not really against them. We’ll have more threat about us playing the teams in around us than last time.
Just as shame we can’t seem to eek out a backs to the wall 1-1 against any big side.
Our habit for conceding quick goals in succession is a premier league killer.

I too was glad it was only 0-2, but didn't kid myself for a second that we got back into it, more concerned that they failed to get (bother to get) a third at which point the floodgates could have opened and our confidence would have taken a kicking to potential long-term detriment.
I'm more than happy for us / the team to tell us we did much better if that helps us move forward ('take positives from the game'). |  | | |
