Just working through my questions for 'My Town Top 10' on Radio Suffolk and I'm onto favourite loan player. My immediate thought was Dos Santos and googled him to see how old he is now. 37, which is mildly suprising (you forget how quickly time passes).

But what surprised me more, given his almost legendary status, was that he only made 8 appearances for Ipswich. He obviously made a massive impression in such a short time!

I've wondered before about the players who made the biggest impact at the club despite not being here very long.

In terms of permanent signings, would Marcus Stewart be #1? Only at Ipswich for 2½ years, but he has legend status.

Didn't sign until March, in the days when loan windows still continued beyond the main one. He did a lot to liven up the end of a season which was drifting towards just-outside-the-playoffs.

Saw him play for Barcelona the season before he signed for us. They played a front three of Ronaldinho - Henry - Giovani and kept Messi on the bench.

What a player he was. The goal against Burnley and the performance against Norwich were just serene.
