Amazon Kindle assistance 10:00 - Jul 24 with 1280 viewsartsbossbeard

My old Kindle is playing up and wonder if anyone can assist.

If I hit "Video", it should take me off to Prime Video but it just whirs and then goes back to the Kindle home screen. Also, I can look and use my stored apps but it doesn't let me go to the App store, it whirs and delivers me back to the home screen.

My purchased books are available and I'm able to go to the book store.

Any ideas?

On my kindle fire there is a troubleshooting tool under settings ->> help
'device health' . Have you tried running that?

You might need to do a firmware/software update. I had to do one on my Kindle 3G thing so that it would connect to networks again

Hold the power button down for 30 secs usually works on mine. I need to bin mine as it's getting old and served me well. However, I feel it's part of me now and can't seem to move on from it.
