What wasn't said in the article was that

1. Yorkshire is the largest county in England & contains at least 5 major connurbations if you include Middlesborough (many would count that as NE region tho) - others being Leeds, Bradford, Hull, Sheffield. Haven't counted up the number of league clubs, but clearly there are dozens, and probably more than most other places except perhaps Greater London or Manchester.

2. 5 of the 6 named in the article are actually from South Yorkshire, so perhaps kudos is due there, as per the article.
