So what do we do? Bring Hurst in, a manager who puts fitness/athleticism above everything else!

We manage to get just about every decision wrong and be constantly behind the pack, desperately trying to catch-up.

Poll: So what do we think will happen with MM and the Aston Villa job?

I found it a bit of a muddled piece to be honest.

Everybody is making more short passes now.....oh, no they aren't, the bottom teams are making less then ever....well actually its just the top teams who are.......apart from Cardiff who went up last year and Boro, they still play direct.

I think there has always been a mix of styles in the Championship to be honest. We were very much a possession team under Burley and that was nearly 20 years ago! There have been countless other examples such as Swansea, Bournemouth etc. that went up playing a passing game several years ago.

The championship may be evolving but it's at a very slow pace if it is.

Town will be encouraged by the trend identified in that article, as we have a number of young players coming through who aren’t the most physical types, such as Nydam and Dozzell. Plus, Lambert isn’t really one of those old school long ball managers. Look what happens when Bart gets the ball, the full back push on, the CB’s split either side of the penalty area for a pass, it’s set up for a passing Rather than a percentage game.
