12 months ago there was an unhealthy attitude around the club. A complete lack of focus. Resignation, a feeling of if we go down we go down.
Had someone said three months ago that come February we would be back in the same hellhole would you have believed them?
You get the feeling that Lambert wasn’t hurt by yesterday’s shambolic performance, that he thinks it is OK to just say we were beaten by a better team. I’m all right jack I’ve got a five year contract from an owner who won’t sack me. Likewise the older players who showed a lack of respect for supporters by shrugging off another game where they were poorly prepared for the task ahead of them.
Peterborough are not a better club than ours. They were a better team because they were better prepared, drilled better, had more commitment, more focused.
Someone needs to get o grip on things, players, manager, owner. It is just unacceptable to shrug your shoulders, point out how many games we still have to get the points needed.
The attitude seems to be “ If we go up we go up, if we don’t we don’t “ That is unacceptable.
Why oh why did Evans give him a new contract, he hadn’t earned it yet.
Three months ago we had a bit of a blip, but it seemed temporary,today it looks like a further slide into oblivion. I thought come Feb we would have a settled team, full of confidence in their own ability individually and collectively. We would have at least three of our home grown players in each and every starting eleven, and a couple more on the bench. How wrong can you be. |  |

On young players, if Bishop had been fit we might have seen three academy products playing yesterday, with Kenlock and Dozzell on the bench. Realistically you're not going to get much more than that. Lankester would be around the team if fit. There's definitely an argument for Dobra to get some game time as he's been hugely unlucky. |  |

I genuinely believe that Evans gave Lambert the five year contract to buy his silence.
Lambert had called Evans out publicly a couple of times about the lack of money available to improve the squad but if yesterdays interview is anything to go by that’s not going to happen again.
