The only real positive I can see for Lambert staying on is that it potentially gives him the opportunity to move on some of the poor players that he has inherited and which didn’t perform in the Champinship and haven’t really done it in League One either. His own recruitment hasn’t been too bad - apart from Judge’s underperformance - and it still doesn’t feel like “his” team. If he is here next season though, he really must try and impose some clear direction and avoid mistakes like un-necessary postponements and rotations.
