So, I was due to be flying to Barcelona late in February which was correctly cancelled exactly a week before we were due to fly. I requested a refund straight away, which was all fine.
I received an email earlier on in the week offering me a voucher to be redeemed within 12 months. After completing another very confusing form and a lot of effort I got placed into a ‘queue’ to wait for my refund once ‘the pandemic is over’.
Saw a little bit online from Martin Lewis and thousands of people complaining on Twitter that they’re in the same boat as me.
Just in case anybody else on here is. - I had a 15 minute phone call with my bank today, who couldn’t have been more helpful. They’ve refunded me the money and will be taking it up with Ryanair themselves behind the scenes. FYI, I paid on a normal debit card and not credit. |  | | |  |

Debit cards have the Chargeback service in place - it's a voluntary agreement between card providers, banks etc.
So, likely been processed under that as Section 75 of the CCA doesn't apply for debit cards.

thanks, that's very handy. I too have been offered vouchers and am not looking forward to going through the process of getting cash from them. |  |
