I didn't see much wrong with the challenge and Hawkins would have then had a tap in. Thought the ref went from being lenient in the first half to very whistle happy in the second half.

Yes, it was one of the few incidents that actually had me shouting out loud. Was absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Mind you, the ref probably should have been a wrestler with a name like Rock Harshly.

Nothing wrong with Edwards robbing their defender, also when Downes got booked he clearly got the ball in the tackle.
Agree that in the second half the ref seemed to want to get in the game more, after a quiet first half.
