Hadn't had a good feeling about the game, so extremely heartened by what I just saw. Would feel churlish to pick holes, because that was very good. Shame not to keep a clean sheet but their goal did seem to refocus us a bit. Four really good goals, picked our moments to commit men forward sensibly and looked a real threat when we did, shape off the ball was disciplined and we didn't give many chances away at all.
Pleased for Edwards, who this season looks much more confident & direct, like the kind of player we signed. Got what he deserved today. Bishop in and out of the game but helped us get back on the front foot before he went off, and the goal was a brilliant example of what he can do. Having players who can produce those moments is such a plus.
Huws had a bit of a shocker on the ball, looked rusty, but his presence in there was important. Thought the workrate all round was impressive; Judge haring around going into 50/50s, Dozzell's efforts on the defensive side getting much better, a word for Kenlock too because that was a really good performance from him against a tricky opponent.
Five games in and I don't really think we could have asked for much more. We are trying the right things in all areas and it's more or less working. Don't think we can afford any further injuries but let's hope we can just keep ticking the results off — pretty clear that people will be nicking points off each other left, right and centre in this division so we should have a really big chance. |  |

Definitely re Chambers. They got nothing out of him and what a great finish. Agree we needed Huws in there, even though I'd shudder to see his pass % he offers that extra height and strength and shields/screens the ball effectively. | |
