Could an empty Portman road actually be helping us ? 07:27 - Oct 17 with 516 viewsmuccletonjoe

We have all seen and heard games where things are not going well and the frustration of supporters, transfers rapidly onto the pitch.
Very often this leads to a poor performance becoming even worse. It happens to every home performance up and down the country, so nothing unique to itfc in that respect.
But the form of certain players is there for all to see at the moment, I point to Edward's, Bishop , Chambers and Dozzell in particular. A certain freedom of constraints which have been all too evident in the past.
Early days still, but it will be interesting to see how or indeed if , this develops into a welcome boost of confidence throughout the team , and how it affects performances once crowds return.

It must be. It can’t be easy playing within a negative atmosphere for the last couple of seasons at PR. Even allowing some fans back might not be great either as hearing the individual comments will be more apparent. I’m sure the players want fans back and we all want to be going to matches, but when every little mistake is moaned or groaned at it can’t help to build confidence levels or even encourage players to take risks.
