The kid can play, but why doesn't his golf handicap seem to be in the public domain? A 9 year old from Hong Kong became the youngest ever scratch golfer last year & would be interesting to see what level Woods Jr has actually reached.

I played golf to a decent standard as a youngster. Got down to 2 and was very good tee to green. Broke par a few times. Was basically unwatchable at putting though and once under par, I usually blew up spectacularly. It's a ridiculously tough sport mentally. 4 hours of perfectly crafted and plotted navigation can be ruined in seconds.

I now play once a year or so and it's fun to be a ringer for golf days but I personally now loathe actually playing the sport.

I have either met or heard of plenty of golfers who were at a similar standard to you as teenagers or young men, but then became disenchanted & virtually gave up. It's a frustrating game & while most golfers dream of being low single figures, I guess the frustration at that level is as bad if not worse as that for an average hacker.
