Salary cap cancelled, good or bad? 18:07 - Feb 9 with 512 views | SamWhiteUK | Besides the obvious "we can spend what we want" aspect being back in, I see a lot of people saying "good, Evans now has no excuse". However, could it mean that the urgency to get promoted this year - and therefore the chance of replacing Lambert - is lessened?
Salary cap cancelled, good or bad? on 18:30 - Feb 9 with 450 views | southnorfolkblue | Good and yes. Good in the sense that it was an absolute nonsense that we should be forced to have the same wage bill as Rochdale for instance. Yes it does lessen the urgency of removing the manager for the reasons that you allude to. Ultimately the damage that would have been caused to us by the salary cap outweighs the downside of PL remaining in charge. The manager will leave - it’s just a case of when. The salary cap could have consigned us to a permanent downward spiral. I am far more optimistic about the future now, irrespective of what happens this season
